The Rotronic HF5A Humidity And Temperature Transmitter provides fixed-installation humidity and temperature monitoring for industrial and controlled environments.
Probe-Based Measurement And Flexible Installation
The HF5A separates the transmitter electronics from the digital measurement probe. Compatible probes support humidity and temperature measurement, while selected RMS probes and transmitter variants allow additional parameters such as differential pressure or CO2. Wall mounting is standard; an industrial cable probe can support duct applications.
Outputs And Psychrometric Calculations
Two scalable analogue outputs can be assigned to measured or calculated values. Available calculations include dew/frost point, wet-bulb temperature, enthalpy, mixing ratio and vapour pressure. Select the correct circuit and output version for the control system: HF5A21 is two-wire, HF5A31 offers analogue outputs, and HF5AD1 adds RS485 Modbus RTU.
Configuration And System Validation
NFC and HygroSoft support configuration, including NFC setup without powering the transmitter. Fixed-value simulation supports validation of connected systems. Configurable high/low alarm limits and hysteresis support monitoring, with alarm display on equipped variants. The optional LCD provides a local view of conditions.

Configuration And Selection Notes
Probe compatibility, measurement accuracy and range depend on the transmitter version and selected probe. PCD/CCD RMS probes require supported three/four-wire variants. Probes are separate items, and IP65 depends on effective cable sealing.
