Precision Measurements And Fast Data Capture
The 8558A provides DC/AC voltage, DC/AC current, resistance, frequency and temperature measurement functions. Its high-speed digitiser captures changing signals into memory, helping engineers examine low-level transients as well as steady-state values. The current ranges on this model extend to 2 A.
Graphical Results And Connection Guidance
The colour display supports waveform, trend, histogram and statistical views. Illuminated connection terminals indicate active inputs, and programmable front/rear input switching supports ratio and comparison work. Front and rear USB host ports allow data export to removable storage.
Integration Into Automated Test Systems
GPIB, USBTMC and Ethernet interfaces support remote operation. SCPI commands, 3458A/8508A emulation modes and an IVI driver help with system integration. External trigger input/output and multiple trigger modes support synchronised capture. MET/CAL compatibility supports calibration workflows when the relevant software is used.
